Education Program
The NCDOR is given the responsibility and authority to provide a certification program for assessors and other persons engaged in the appraisal of property for a county or municipality. The Property Tax Section has developed a certification program that qualifies any person hired by a county assessor to do appraisals and determine the value of property for ad valorem taxation purposes.
