  • Data Entry and Office Aid positions available
  • Some positions may pay as high as $18.50 per hour

Admin Associate 1 – Scan Operator   (2 Positions) $14.50 - $16.50/Hour

General Purpose: Scan and capture good images on all documents using a BancTec IntelliScan XDS scanner.  These documents comprise all tax schedules and different types of correspondence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate BancTec IntelliScan XDS scanner
  • Analyze and correct problem documents
  • Perform daily maintenance on scanner to ensure scanners are functioning properly
  • Perform administrative tasks:
    • Daily inventory
    • Copying header sheets
    • Jogging work
    • Rotating carts when work is processed and ready to be released
    • Performs other job tasks as assigned

General Purpose: The primary purpose of the tax rush seasonal is to work suspended transactions out of suspense for Individual Income tax.

General Purpose: Data entry using a personal computer. Responsible for accurately entering data into NCDOR systems.

  • Processing returned payments in ITAS or the Online Filing & Payments system
  • Entering enrollments in the EFT System (payroll add-lists or Authorization Agreements)
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail
  • Generate form letters from Microsoft Word
  • Preparing work for scanning
  • Correcting posting errors within the EFT System
  • Performing general office duties (filing, labeling, sending/receiving faxes, sorting/delivering reports, stuffing envelopes for mailings, etc.) 
  • Assist in providing research for customer service inquiries via email 
  • Assist with other ePay projects as needed
  • May be cross-trained to work in other units within the division

Admin Associate 2 – Tax Season Specialist (Swing Group, 11 Positions) $19.50 / Hour

General Purpose: Proficient in multiple tax season essential assignments and can be assigned to any area on an as needed basis. These positions are for returnees only.

Manual Tasks
  • Process paper tax submissions (with or without remittance) in accordance with strict deadlines and standards to assure timely and accurate record handling
    • Mailroom: opening mail, copying NC3, operate REDS machines
    • Payment processing: process remittance documents
    • Payment, Processing and Deposits: document handling
    • Forms processing: distribute DOR mail, sort, prepare, QA documents for scan/data entry
    • Forms processing: manage paper submission documents (shelving and destruction)
    • Rejected returns: stuff envelopes
