In an effort to assist more taxpayers during the upcoming tax filing period, the North Carolina Department of Revenue (NCDOR) will offer extended phone hours beginning Monday, Jan. 5.

RALEIGH – A Forsyth County business owner was arrested Tuesday on felony tax charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.

The North Carolina motor fuels tax rate for gasoline, diesel, and alternative fuels will increase from 36.5 cents per gallon to 37.5 cents per gallon for the period January 1, 2015 through June 30, 2015, Department of Revenue Secretary Lyons Gray announced today.
