RALEIGH – A Shelby return preparer was arrested Friday on three felony tax charges and one misdemeanor tax charge filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Louis D. Banner, 41, of 215 Merit Drive, Shelby, was charged on February 17, 2014 with three counts of Aid or Assist in the Preparation and Filing of Fraudulent North Carolina Individual Income Tax Returns, and one count of Willful Failure to File a North Carolina Income Tax Return.
