NCDOR Launches Application Process for Business Recovery Grants

The N.C. Department of Revenue (NCDOR) is now accepting applications for Business Recovery Grants. The Business Recovery Grant Program (BRG) will issue a one-time payment to eligible North Carolina businesses that experienced significant economic loss due to COVID-19. The application period closes January 31, 2022.

NCDOR Sets Motor Fuels Tax Rate For 2022

The Secretary of Revenue has determined that the motor fuels and alternative fuels tax rate for the period of January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022 will be 38.5 cents per gallon.

Joseph Patrick O’Keefe, 53, of 8705 Sunflower Meadows Lane, Wake Forest, was charged on November 1, 2021 with five counts of Embezzlement of State Property.

A Concord businessman was arrested Wednesday on felony tax charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.

Charles Joseph Pippa, 64, of Concord, NC, was charged on October 6, 2021 with three counts of Embezzlement of State Property.

Individual Income Tax Returns with Extensions are Due Friday, Oct. 15

Taxpayers who received an extension to file their state individual income tax returns originally due on April 15, 2021, must file those returns by Friday, Oct. 15, 2021.

NCDOR Announces Extra Credit Grant Application Extension through July 1

The North Carolina Department of Revenue (NCDOR) announced today that the application period for the $335 Extra Credit Grants is extended again through July 1, 2021 for eligible individuals who did not already receive the payments.
