Storm-Related Impacts On NCDOR Operations

The lingering effects of Hurricane Florence continue to impact N.C. Department of Revenue operations, which includes offices closing or operating with limited staffing. Please check back on this page for the latest information.

Wednesday, Sept. 19

  • The NCDOR service center in Wilmington will remain closed.
  • The NCDOR service center in Fayetteville will reopen to the public at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20. 
  • The NCDOR waives diesel fuel penalty in response to hurricane-related supply interruptions. Learn more.
  • All other offices will operate on their normal schedules.

Tuesday, Sept. 18

  • The NCDOR service centers in Fayetteville and Wilmington remain closed.
  • All other offices will operate on their normal schedules.

Monday, Sept. 17

  • The NCDOR published information on tax relief for victims of the hurricane. 
  • The NCDOR service centers in Fayetteville and Wilmington remain closed.
  • The NCDOR service centers in Elizabeth City and Greenville, as well as the office on Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh, will open to the public at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 17.
  • The NCDOR service center in Rocky Mount will open to the public at noon on Monday, Sept. 17.  

Friday, Sept. 14

  • The NCDOR service center in Raleigh closed at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 14.
  • The NCDOR service center in Durham closed at noon, Friday, Sept. 14.
  • All remaining NCDOR service centers may be operating with limited staffing. Please call ahead to make sure you can meet with a representative. Find the phone numbers.
  • Update: NCDOR call centers are no longer staffed as of 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 14. 
  • The NCDOR service center in Rocky Mount will close to the public at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 13, and remain closed on Friday, Sept. 14.
  • The NCDOR service centers in Elizabeth City, Fayetteville, and Greenville will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 13-14.
  • The NCDOR service center in Wilmington will close to the public at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, and remain closed for the rest of the week.
