A High Point businessman pleaded guilty Friday in Wake County Superior Court to felony tax charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.

A Durham businessman was sentenced Monday, January 14, 2019, in Wake County Superior Court on felony tax charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.

The North Carolina Department of Revenue (NCDOR) officially opened the 2019 business income tax filing season and began accepting Corporate Income and Franchise, and Partnership tax returns Friday, Jan. 11. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) began accepting business income returns Jan. 8.

Revenue Secretary Ronald G. Penny announced today he has elected under his authority to waive the $200 penalty for all taxpayers who do not file Form NC-3 electronically for tax year 2018.

The North Carolina Department of Revenue's (NCDOR) taxpayer assistance service center in Greenville will move to a new office located at 300 Beacon Drive, Winterville. The existing office at 2995 Radio Station Road in Greenville will be closed for the move during the week of Dec.

The N.C. Department of Revenue will hold a job fair for tax season positions on Friday, Dec. 14, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the agency office at 4701 Atlantic Avenue.

The NCDOR will hold a job fair for tax season positions on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Nov. 17. The event will be held at the NCDOR office at 4701 Atlantic Avenue.
