Raleigh

RALEIGH – A Wake County businessman was arrested Monday on tax charges filed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.

Francis Joseph Bowman, III, 40, of 547 S. Main Street, Wake Forest, was charged on June 22, 2015 with four counts of Willful Failure to File Return, Supply Information, or Pay Tax.

Arrest warrants allege that Bowman, the owner of Frank Bowman Designs, LLC, willfully failed to file a North Carolina Individual Income Tax Return for tax years 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012.

Bowman appeared before a Wake County magistrate and was placed under a $5,000 bond.  A first appearance was scheduled for July 20, 2015 in Wake County District Court in Raleigh.

The charges against Bowman resulted from an investigation by a special agent with the Department’s Criminal Investigations Section in Raleigh.
